Ringed Teal304 viewsA small Teal from central South America & therefore almost certain to be an escapee from a waterfowl collection. This individual was very tame, it actually chased me around the bank hoping I was going to feed it, which actually made it quite awkward to photograph as it wouldn't stay put & kept coming too close, so I was constantly backing off trying to get a shot.

Grey Heron & Great crested Grebe198 viewsAlthough still a juvenile, the much larger Heron moves in for the kill, hoping to get at the eggs or young that the Grebe is protecting, but it didn't bank on just how tenacious the Grebe would defend it's nest.
